Wednesday, July 25

Driving back towards where we had to be for the next Sowers project, we went southwest on 61 to hwy 1, then that hwy to Elie and a few miles east to Fall Lake. Beautiful lake and campground.

Thursday, July 26

Driving west on Hwy 1, we stopped at Burnside Lake, a nice lake with several islands, one that we heard was popular with canoeists.  We also found a man in a boat transferring household items.

That's Patty in the first picture, checking out some bird sounds.

Saw a deer further down the road.

We stopped at the Soudan underground mine tour.

Stopped for the night at Scenic State Park.

Friday July 27

Arrived at Camp Dellwater, a few miles south of Red Lake MN.  We'll be here for 3 weeks for the next Sower project.

Monday July 30 - Wednesday August 1

We (Patty and I, Bob and Karen Lovell and Gorlyn and Ruthie Hagerbaumer) started this week on our respective projects.  Actually, the ladies worked this past weekend cleaning cabins for a changeover.  Bob and I spent all week removing old facia and gutters on the washhouse and installing new.   Bob started the grunt work while Gorlyn and I started painting the new boards.

And  then it was time to put the facia and gutters up.
