A few more pictures of Raquette lake before we leave there.  Did you know it will be Smokey Bear's birthday next week? How old is he?

After the drive to Eagle Bay, we went west to Old Forge, one of our favorite places.  We had been here at least three other times, and as usual, we parked ourselves on a blanket in the grass on the municipal park in front of the Lake.  These four pictures are taken around the lake.  Note our camper in  the first picture.  Old Forge also has a great hardware store where you can buy nearly anything (books, souvenirs, crafts, hardware, plants, toys...).

Nice flowers.

Patty was lamenting that we had not seen any loons on this trip, but the Lord blessed us as we passed another lake o our way further west.
