Lots of color in this area this time of year.

Oct 08 - Campgrounds

Eaton lake. This is one of many state park campgrounds in the central Adirondacks.  Pictures do not do this justice.

Seventh Lake .

Eighth Lake.  I like this picture.  Looks like the perfect campsite. I borrowed it for the cover picture of one of my credit cards.

Other camps

Oct 08 - Old Forge Boat Ride

There is a nice boat ride that starts in the First lake in Old Forge and goes up to the Fourth. It's possible to canoe from First to Eighth with few carries. There are several campgrounds along the way, and ma have spent a week or so doing this.

Oct 11 - Trout Pond Road

We agreed that Trout Pond Road, leading to Camp Shoshanah, was probably the best place for color this fall.  This road caused Patty to comment every time we rounded a corner. Prepare to be astounded.
